Perplexed by Others' Experiences . . . . .

I shot the wedding of my neighbor's daughter last summer and uploaded files to RitzPix to share with the bride's family and friends. The bride ordered every one to use a proofs and was delighted with quality, cost and delivery terms. The prints were so good, in fact, that she displayed many without correcting or enlarging. Others in the family were pleased as well. RitzPix created a canvas enlargement for the parents. I was super happy with the results.

I am a casual printer and have always been satisfied with prints and enlargements from RitzPix.

This summer we created several photo books and were blown away from the quality. The pages were real photographic prints, not ink-jet, and practically jumped out at us. Price and delivery terms were excellent.

We will work with RitzPix again . . .

In summary, I would recommend RitzPix to a friend.

Stores closing without notice

I left my 35 mm film with them to just find out that they had closed before I picked them up. I understand they gave employees a few days notice that they were closing in Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. What respectable company does that? When I called New Jersey they kept putting me off and saying it was not their fault the negatives were lost. How could it not be? Stay away as this company has NO RESPECT for their employees and customers.

In summary, I would not recommend RitzPix to a friend.

Please stay away from the RitzPix membership. It's a rip-off. I paid $20 to sign onto the membership in April,and continue to take $20 every month from my checking. I never received a membership card, the store said I would receive it by email, when that didn't happen, I contacted RitzPix Network and was told I should have be issued the card at the store. I have tried emails, phone calls (1-800-225-9799) and by visiting the store.

As a result I have not been able to take advantages of the coupons for the holidays. I have no recourse but to keep paying them $20.00 each month for 7 more months or they take $75.00 in fines from what I have already paid.

In summary, I would not recommend RitzPix to a friend.

I paid extra for 2 day delivery for a birthday present for my mom. When I had not received it after 48 hours, I contacted RitzPix via instant messenger where I was told that not only had my photo not yet shipped, but it not yet even been printed! I requested a manager call me directly. A few minutes later, I received a call from manager Joe who went on to treat me like an insolent child explaining that ordering a photo is similar to ordering a burger from Burger King and that I needed to have allowed time for production in addition to the two days of shipping. Additionally, "2 days does not necessarily mean 48 hours..." WHAT??? He further told me of a winter storm that hit Atlanta a full 24+ hours after submission of my order, stating he cannot control the weather. He was unapologetic and when I asked why I had not received so much as an email telling me my product was delayed, he simply said they had no way to track orders and customers. Good quality prints for the price

I've used many different printing services for my images, especially being a border-line amateur to pro photographer. The prints that I've received from RitzPix have been consistently good in quality. Back in the day when I was shooting film, there was a wide latitude for the print color and density of the final prints. But for my digital prints I prefer them to be printed as is, which RitzPix does a great job with.

I've used ShutterFly and other services, but they may offer low cost prints, but they get you in the shipping costs. At least with RitzPix, I get free shipping if my order is for $30 or more. Plus I can get 100 4x6 prints for as low as only 11ยข each. That's a great price when I've got tons of prints to get done in a single shot.

Overall, it's been a great experience in working with RitzPix. My orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.

horrible customer service!!!

My story is long, but here is a summary of it:

-not told that the photo lab was out of supplies and my order was not going to be printed right away

-over a month after I ordered 4 calendars, and I still do not have them. customer service says they are expected to be delivered next week

-on hold for 15-20 minutes every time I called the Ritzpix.com customer service number

-lied to about when to expect my calendars on multiple occasions, and lied to about when the customer service line closes at night

-none of my emails or phone messages returned

Beware of Ritz Pix Shipping-- Takes WAY longer

After being a frequent customer of Ritz Pix, I am throwing in the towel and will order from them again. What was to be an order standardly shipped (5-7 buisness days) took over 3 weeks to be delivered. When contacting them via e-mail as they do not offer a phone number, customer service never responded. I got an e-mail asking me for a physical address and that is when I filed my complaint as to why I had not recieved my pictures as it had been over 12 days. The customer service agent was of no help--- she just said it was going to take another week due to increased volume. How disappointing, they should have notified customers when placing the order they there was going to be a delay or at least offer a refund to the shipping I paid. Beware, Ritz Pix has gone downhill.

In summary, I would not recommend RitzPix to a friend.

Slow and Questionable Service

I would caution against using RitzPix for reprints. I uploaded and placed an order on line for 45 digital 4x6 prints. I received confirmation of my order. According to the web site, one day shipping is standard. Ten days later I had to email them to find out where my prints were. It took 2 emails before I heard back that they were having a supply shortage. After 15 days had passed, I canceled my order because I needed the photos for a family reunion and could wait no longer. I went to Walgreens to get my prints. I don't know how a photo company runs so short of supplies that they are unable to print 45 4x6 digital prints for over 2 weeks, with no communication as to when I might receive them.

In summary, I would not recommend RitzPix to a friend.
